A family home in Abbey Wood required planning permission for a ground floor extension to house a kitchen and dining space.

As they entertain often they wanted to the space to open out to the garden.  The introduction of sloping roofs maximised height options and the connection between the old and new house focused on a visual connection between the front door and the back garden.  We included a side entrance into the extension and created guest WC and shower room on the ground floor.  By freeing up space we were able to convert one of the internal living rooms into a study as the couple often work from home.
